Viruses

Viruses are micro organisms that cause certain illnesses and diseases. They are the most common cause of infections acquired indoors. The presence of a virus can be quite fatal, especially for immune compromised people. Viral infections are spread from one individual to another through contact and through the air. Some of the most common viruses are the Influenza, Coronaviruses, Noroviruses, and Enteroviruses.   Viruses can settle on surfaces and still remain infectious for hours and some for days.

Sources of Viruses:

Most common sources of viruses are humans and animals. Though there are various ways of viral transmission, the routes can be through contact with infected persons, contaminated surfaces, contaminated food, water droplets, and airborne transmission.

Harmful Effects:

A viral infection can cause a range of illnesses for the person or animal infected resulting in symptoms such as coughing, sneezing, watery nose, long-term damage, disease, and even death.
